Roby is a small farming town of about 680 people in Fisher County, 45 miles northeast of Abilene via US Highway 180. The main route connects to Abilene and continues east toward Dallas-Fort Worth, while State Highway 70 links north to the Panhandle. The 1924 Fisher County Courthouse, a red brick classical revival building, dominates the skyline as the tallest structure for miles around.
