Robinson sits along Interstate 35 between Waco and Austin, making it a natural pit stop on one of Texas's main travel corridors. Most visitors arrive via I-35, with Waco just 10 minutes north and Austin about 100 miles south. The town grew around the railroad and highway intersection, surrounded by rolling central Texas farmland. Robinson's volunteer fire department has been operating continuously since 1882, making it the oldest in Texas.
