Robinson Mill is a tiny foothill community in Butte County, about 20 miles northeast of Chico via Highway 70 and local roads. Most visitors arrive from the Sacramento area on Highway 99 north, then Highway 70 through Oroville. The settlement sits at 500 feet elevation where the valley meets the Sierra foothills. The community is named after a historic gristmill that served 1800s settlers and gold miners.
