Road Runner is a small Texas community of about 1,000 people in Cooke County, roughly 60 miles northwest of Dallas. Take I-35 north to Gainesville, then head west on county roads to reach this rural area. US Highway 82 connects it east-west through the region. The town got its name from the roadrunner birds that still dash across local highways today.
