Rives is a tiny farming town in northwestern Tennessee near the Kentucky border, about 15 miles from Union City via State Route 22. The area sits in fertile bottomland that supports corn, soybean, and cotton farming. Everett-Stewart Regional Airport provides convenient access for general aviation. The original Illinois Central Railroad depot from the late 1800s still stands in town.
