Rives is a tiny farming town in Missouri's southeastern corner, sitting on County Road 549 about 15 miles northeast of Kennett. Most people get there via US 412 through Kennett or US 61 from the north. The closest airports are Kennett Memorial and Arkansas International in Blytheville. What stands out is the endless cotton and soybean fields stretching in every direction, irrigated by massive systems drawing from the Mississippi River aquifer.
