Riverside is a tiny farming town of 471 people along the Okanogan River in north-central Washington. US Highway 97 runs right through town, connecting to Omak eight miles north and south to Wenatchee. Most visitors come via Highway 97, with State Route 20 providing access to the North Cascades nearby. The town's historic 1930 suspension bridge over the river is so narrow that cars have to take turns crossing.
