Riverside is a planned community of 9,000 people located 10 miles west of downtown Chicago along the Des Plaines River. Take I-290 west from the city with exits at Harlem or First Avenue for direct access. The village connects easily to both O'Hare (15 miles) and Midway (12 miles) airports via I-294. Riverside was designed in 1869 by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also created Central Park.
