Located in Washington County along Highway 22, it's about 20 minutes west of Iowa City via a scenic drive through corn and soybean country. The town sits in the English River valley with gently rolling hills typical of southeastern Iowa. A monument downtown marks the exact spot where Captain James T. Kirk will supposedly be born in 2228.
