River Forest is a tiny Indiana community of 21 people in Madison County, about 15 miles northeast of Anderson via State Road 9. Reach it from Indianapolis by taking I-69 north to Anderson, then SR-9 and local county roads through farm country. Anderson Municipal Airport sits nearby for private flights. The area's flat farmland and scattered woodlots experience typical Midwest weather. It's one of Indiana's smallest incorporated towns.
