River Bluff is a small Ohio River community in Oldham County, about 20 miles northeast of Louisville via I-71 and Highway 329. This riverside settlement of 445 people offers scenic drives through rolling hills, with Highway 42 providing an alternate route from Prospect. The town's historic ferry landing, where a cable ferry once crossed to Indiana until the 1960s, still shows remnants of the original ramp along the shoreline.
