Ritchey is a tiny rural community in southwestern Missouri, about 15 miles northeast of Joplin via Highway 86 from I-44. With just 62 residents scattered across Newton County farmland, it's reached mainly by locals using County Road 110 for daily Neosho trips or visitors taking Highway 71 north from Joplin. The original Ritchey family homestead's stone foundation still stands along the historic Neosho-Carthage wagon road.
