Risingsun is a farming village of 737 people in northwest Ohio, about 20 miles south of Toledo via I-75 and State Route 199. The flat agricultural landscape supports corn and soybeans under Ohio's continental climate. Most visitors arrive on SR-199, which runs east-west through town center, connecting to Bowling Green and continuing toward Indiana. The 1875 United Methodist Church's white steeple serves as a landmark visible from the main highway.
