Riesel is a small farming town of about 1,450 people located 15 miles northeast of Waco on Highway 6. Take I-35 to Exit 330 near Waco, then follow Highway 6 northeast through rolling cotton country. The town sits where Highway 164 crosses Highway 6, surrounded by working farms and oak-dotted prairie. You can still see the old cotton gin by the railroad tracks that put this place on the map.
