Rienzi is a small farming community in northeastern Mississippi, about 15 miles southeast of Corinth on Highway 45. Most visitors pass through on the straight shot between Tupelo and the Tennessee border, though some use it as a waypoint between Memphis and Birmingham. The town of 300 residents sits among cotton fields and pastures in Alcorn County, named after Cola di Rienzo, a 14th-century Italian political leader.
