Ridgewood is a Bergen County suburb about 20 miles northwest of Manhattan, built around its NJ Transit station. Route 17 provides the main highway access, connecting south to the George Washington Bridge and north through the region. The village center clusters around the original 1894 red brick train station, where commuter trains still make daily stops to New York City.
