Ridgeside is a small Hamilton County community of 879 people near the Georgia border, about 15 miles southeast of Chattanooga. Take I-75 to Exit 1, then follow local roads east into town. Most residents commute northwest to Chattanooga for work, while the area draws some interstate travelers passing through. The town sits where State Route 2 makes a sharp bend around the southern base of Lookout Mountain.
