Ridgely is a small farming town in northwest Tennessee, eight miles from Kentucky in Lake County. Most visitors arrive via State Route 78, which connects to US 51 ten miles east. US 51 runs north-south, linking Union City 15 miles south and continuing toward Kentucky. For longer trips, drivers use US 51 to reach Interstate 40 near Jackson, about 45 miles away. The town maintains one of Tennessee's few remaining municipal grass-strip airports.
