Ridgely is a small Eastern Shore town in Caroline County, accessible via US Route 50 about 90 miles east of Baltimore. The main local connector is Maryland Route 480, linking surrounding rural areas. Most long-distance traffic uses US 50 for coastal destinations, while daily trips serve the local farming community. The restored 1902 railroad depot on Main Street now houses the town's visitor center and museum.
