Richmond West is a planned community about 25 miles southwest of downtown Miami, accessible via the Florida Turnpike at Southwest 288th Street and Southwest 344th Street exits. US Route 1 runs along the eastern edge, connecting to Homestead and the Keys southbound or Miami northbound, while Southwest 137th Avenue provides another major corridor. Miami International Airport is roughly 30 miles northeast via the Turnpike. The community features a distinctive town square with a clock tower that serves as its most recognizable landmark.
