Richlands is a small agricultural town in southeastern North Carolina, about 20 miles northwest of Jacksonville via US Highway 258. The town sits in Onslow County's farming country, where tobacco and sweet potato fields dominate the flat coastal plain. State Route 11 provides east-west access, while US 258 connects north to Kinston and south toward the coast. Each spring, the town celebrates its farming heritage with the Pork, Pine & Peanut Festival.
