Richfield is a small Summit County city strategically located between Cleveland and Akron on Interstate 77, about 25 miles south of Cleveland and 15 miles north of Akron. Routes 176 and 303 provide east-west connections, while Route 21 offers an alternative north-south path. The rolling hills and scattered woodlands create a suburban buffer zone between Ohio's major urban centers. Richfield serves as the southern gateway to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, where the famous 87-mile Towpath Trail begins its journey along the historic Ohio & Erie Canal.
