Richfield is a small North Carolina town of about 940 people, located 45 miles northeast of Charlotte via US-74 East and NC-49 North. The main route through town is NC Highway 49, connecting north to Salisbury and south to Albemarle. The restored 1920s train depot downtown now serves as the local historical society headquarters.
