Rice is a small farming community in central Minnesota, about 20 minutes northwest of St. Cloud via Highway 23. The town sits along the Sauk River in typical Minnesota agricultural country. Most visitors arrive from the Twin Cities by taking I-94 west to St. Cloud, then Highway 23 to Rice. The original 1920s concrete grain elevator still dominates the downtown skyline.
