Rhome is a small town of about 1,700 people in Wise County, 30 miles northwest of Fort Worth via US Highway 287. The main route from Dallas takes I-35W north to US 287, while State Highway 114 connects from the east near Alliance Airport. The town sits in rolling North Texas hills with a humid subtropical climate and serves both daily commuters and long-distance travelers on the US 287 corridor. Its restored 1920s railroad depot now houses the local museum.
