Rhame is a tiny farming town of 184 people in southwestern North Dakota's ranch country, about 15 miles from the South Dakota line. Highway 12 runs right through the middle, connecting to Bowman 20 miles west and continuing toward Lemmon, South Dakota. The post office, operating since 1908, serves as the town's social hub where local ranchers gather during weekly mail runs.
