Rest Haven is a tiny Gwinnett County community of 44 people, about 60 miles northeast of Atlanta via I-85 to Commerce, then SR-17 east. This remote area sits near the South Carolina border along winding country roads, with Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport nearby for private aircraft. The community got its name from an old country store that served as a rest stop for travelers between the mountains and Atlanta.
