Renville is a farming town of 1,500 people in west-central Minnesota, about 100 miles southwest of Minneapolis via Highway 212. The town sits in flat agricultural country along the Minnesota River valley. Highway 212 runs east-west through town toward Granite Falls and the Twin Cities, while Highway 67 provides the north-south connection. The 1902 Romanesque Revival courthouse with its red brick tower dominates the downtown square.
