Rendville is a tiny Perry County community about 60 miles southeast of Columbus, reachable via State Route 37 north to I-70. The town of 149 people sits in Ohio's hilly southeastern region, once a coal mining center. Most traffic comes from Lancaster or the Hocking Hills area on Routes 37 and 78. Rendville was one of Ohio's first racially integrated towns, founded in the 1870s as a progressive mining community.
