Remsen is a farming town of 1,800 people in northwest Iowa, reached via Highway 3 from Sioux City (30 miles) or Le Mars (12 miles). The route from Sioux City takes Highway 75 south to Highway 3 east through typical Iowa corn country. The town's massive grain elevator complex towers over the prairie and serves as a landmark visible for miles around.
