Reform is a small Alabama town of 1,600 people in Pickens County, about 45 miles northwest of Tuscaloosa via US Highway 82. The city sits in former coal mining country with rolling hills and serves mainly local traffic between rural communities. State Route 17 provides north-south access while Highway 82 connects east to Tuscaloosa and Interstate 20/59. The town was founded as a temperance community during Alabama's early prohibition movement.
