Reece City is a small Alabama town of about 800 people in Etowah County, roughly 60 miles northeast of Birmingham. Take I-59 north to Highway 77 for the main route in. The town sits in rolling pine country with mild winters and hot summers. Northeast Alabama Regional Airport is about 10 miles away near Gadsden. Named after early settler William Reece, the community was incorporated in 1956 and remains quietly residential.
