Redwater is a small East Texas town of about 750 people located 15 miles southwest of Marshall on US Highway 259. The community sits in pine forest country with connections to Longview via Highway 154 and quick access to Interstate 20 for longer trips. The town gets its name from the reddish clay soil that turns local streams rust-colored after it rains.
