Reddick is a farming community of about 200 people in rural Kankakee County, roughly 60 miles southwest of Chicago. Take I-55 south to Exit 233, then head west on Route 17, which runs right through town connecting it to Dwight and Streator. The massive grain elevator towers over the flat prairie landscape, serving as a landmark visible for miles across the surrounding cornfields.
