Redbird is a tiny rural community in Wagoner County, about 45 miles southeast of Tulsa via US-69 and county roads. With just over 100 residents, it sits in rolling prairie near the Arkansas River. The area serves mainly local traffic and those heading to river recreation spots. The town was named after the cardinal, Oklahoma's state bird, which still thrives in the local oak and pecan groves.
