Red Springs is a small city in southeastern North Carolina, accessible via US Highway 211 about 20 miles southwest of Fayetteville. The main route through town connects Laurinburg to the west with Raeford to the east, while NC Highway 20 provides north-south access. Located in the transition zone between the Sandhills and coastal plain, Red Springs developed around the railroad in the late 1800s. The town houses the Red Springs Museum in a restored 1920s school building.
