Raymondville is a small agricultural town in South Texas, about 30 miles northwest of Harlingen on US Highway 77. The main route through town connects the Rio Grande Valley to Corpus Christi and San Antonio, while State Highway 186 links nearby valley communities. The area's flat terrain supports extensive farming operations, particularly cotton and grain sorghum. The 1922 Willacy County Courthouse downtown showcases Classical Revival architecture and remains one of the valley's best-preserved historic courthouses.
