Raymond is a small farming town of 700 people in west-central Minnesota, located on US Highway 12 about 12 miles west of Willmar. The highway connects it to regional centers and intersects with State Highway 23 for north-south travel. The town's massive grain elevator complex towers over the surrounding prairie farmland.
