Ranson is a small city in West Virginia's eastern panhandle, about 70 miles from D.C. Most visitors take I-81 north-south or Route 340 east-west through town. It's popular with Washington-area commuters who want small-town living with reasonable access to the city. The town was incorporated in 2010, making it one of West Virginia's newest municipalities.
