Rangerville is a tiny farming community of 112 people in Cameron County, about 15 miles northwest of Harlingen via US Highway 83. The town sits in the Rio Grande Valley's agricultural heartland, surrounded by citrus groves and vegetable fields. Valley International Airport is roughly 20 minutes southeast. The area's defining characteristic is its location along one of the original irrigation canals that made large-scale agriculture possible in this part of South Texas.
