Radium is a tiny Kansas farming town of 16 people in Stafford County, reached via US Highway 50 about 15 miles southwest of St. John. The highway connects it to Dodge City and Hutchinson, while Route 281 provides north-south access. The town was named after radium-bearing water discovered in a local well during the early 1900s health craze.
