Raceland is a small city in northeastern Kentucky along the Ohio River valley, connected primarily by US Route 23 running north-south through town. The main commuter route heads 10 miles north to Ashland, while longer trips reach Interstate 64 for access to Huntington or Lexington. State Route 7 provides east-west connections across Greenup County. The historic brick Raceland City Building has anchored the downtown area since the 1940s.
