Quitman is a small north Louisiana town of about 320 people, located 45 miles southeast of Monroe via US 167 and Highway 146. The area sits in pine hill country with a humid subtropical climate. The Louisiana Political Museum and Hall of Fame operates from a restored 1920s schoolhouse downtown.
