Quitman is a small county seat in south Georgia, about 25 miles west of Valdosta via US 84. The town sits in rolling agricultural country near the Florida border, connected north to Interstate 75 through Tifton. Most visitors arrive from Valdosta or Thomasville on Highway 84, while locals make short trips to surrounding farming communities. The 1924 neoclassical courthouse with its four columns dominates the town square.
