Quitaque is a small Texas Panhandle farming town reached via Highway 86 from US 287 (60 miles south of Amarillo) or Highway 207 from Lubbock. The town sits in cotton country with grain elevators lining the main drag. Highway 86 actually ends here, living up to the town's Comanche name meaning "end of the trail."
