Quintana is a tiny coastal spot in Brazoria County where the Brazos River flows into the Gulf of Mexico. Drive Highway 288 south from Houston about 65 miles, then take County Road 723 to reach this gateway to Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge. The area draws birders during migration seasons and offers access to pristine wetlands. Quintana Beach County Park provides the only public facilities and serves as the main access point to the Gulf shoreline.
