Quesada is a tiny South Texas community of about 40 people in Starr County, near the Mexican border. Reach it via US Highway 83 west from McAllen (45 miles) or from San Antonio via I-35 south to US 83 west (160 miles). The semi-arid landscape features mesquite and cactus under big skies, with hot summers over 100°F and mild winters. It's one of Texas's smallest incorporated places.
