Providence is a small city of about 9,000 people in northern Utah's Cache Valley, just three miles south of Logan. US Highway 89 runs right through town, connecting to I-15 about 25 miles south near Brigham City for Salt Lake City access. The Logan-Cache Airport is eight miles northeast. Popular routes include quick trips to Utah State University in Logan and scenic drives up Logan Canyon to Bear Lake. The city runs its own municipal power company, unusual for Utah.
