Providence is Webster County's seat in western Kentucky's coal region, home to about 2,900 people along the Green River. Take I-69 to Exit 42, then US 62 west for 8 miles to reach downtown. It's about 130 miles from Louisville via the Western Kentucky Parkway. The 1907 limestone courthouse with its working clock tower anchors the historic town square.
