Prosperity is a small town in central South Carolina's Piedmont region, about 40 miles northwest of Columbia. Take I-26 to Exit 91, then follow Highway 391 into town. Most visitors come from Columbia (45 minutes) or Charlotte (90 minutes via I-77 south to I-26 west). The town got its optimistic name in 1881 when the railroad arrived, and you can still see the original depot building on Main Street.
